When should I start using silicone scar gel after surgery?
Most clinicians recommend starting silicone gel once the incision is fully closed and any scabs have naturally come off — typically two to three weeks after surgery. Always follow your surgeon's specific guidance.

How long does silicone scar gel take to make a difference?
Results vary from person to person. Many people describe visible changes in the look of scar texture and color after 60 to 90 days of consistent twice-daily use; the appearance of older scars may take longer to change.

Can I use scar gel with sunscreen?
Yes — in fact, you should. UV exposure can visibly darken scarred skin. We recommend layering the Healing Support SPF 40 Sunscreen over scar gel once it has fully absorbed.

Is your scar gel suitable for sensitive skin or oncology patients?
Our scar care products are fragrance-free, paraben-free, and formulated without aggressive actives that commonly irritate sensitive or compromised skin. If you are in active cancer treatment, please consult your oncology team before introducing any new topical product.

Can I use this on old scars?
Yes. The look of newer scars often responds more quickly, but consistent use can still soften and hydrate the appearance of older scars.
